This course meets the Authorised
Person refresher course requirements defined within the Health Technical Memorandum
06-02 (HTM 06-02).
Our HTM courses have been updated to include the requirements
of the 2023 version of HTM06-02
All of our
HTM 06-02 courses are delivered by our principal instructor who is a chartered
electrical engineer (CEng MIET). His
vast experience creates a high quality learning environment where candidates are
encouraged to ask questions and propose scenarios for risk and countermeasure
discussions.

of the Duties and responsibilities of an Authorised Person

Theory,
application, operation and maintenance of components of typical low voltage
distribution systems.

Design,
operation and maintenance of low voltage distribution systems and their
associated protective devices.

BS7671 18th
Edition Including Amendments

Testing of
electrical installations to BS 7671 & IET Guidance Note 3 Including Amendments
-
Operation and
maintenance procedures for standby power supplies and equipment
-
Isolation of
standby UPS and battery systems
-
Practical
exercises for permits-to-work and certificates of authorisation for live
working;
-
Completion of
logbook and filing of documentation;
-
Monitoring of
electrical safety work by staff/contractors
-
Cable
detection, location and identification.
