Authorised Person & Permit Issuer's Training

We offer a wide range of electrical safety courses to meet customer's requirements,  the following presents our standard Authorised Person (AP) & Low Voltage Permit Issuer's training package.

Time Required: 4 hours prior reading of booklet + 2 day classroom and on-site.

Number of Candidates / Session: 3 to 8

The candidates for this course are likely to be practicing Electricians, with some familiarity of Electrical ‘Permits to Work’.  

It is recommended that the course is based at the client’s site thus allowing candidates to gain practical experience on equipment that they are familiar with.   An on site meeting room suitable for teaching purposes would be necessary for the theory presentation.

• Live Working Definitions and Precautions

• Permit to Work Procedures

• Low Voltage Permit to Work

• Site Safety Agreements

• Limitation of Access Documents

• Switching Schedules and Records

• Fault Levels Appreciation and Calculation

Assessment:   If the candidate builds up a portfolio of experience, ICA has a structured assessment procedure available.
